I would be lying if I said I didn’t love Starbucks. There seems to be one pretty much everywhere now – Target, the grocery store, the shopping center down the street. But, at least around me, there aren’t very many that have drive-thrus. And anyone with toddlers knows that you don’t take the kids out of the car and into a store for a “quick trip” unless it’s completely necessary. Unfortunately, Starbucks doesn’t fit my necessary list.
I’ve been staying home a lot more lately and I’ve been using Instacart for my grocery shopping. It’s been awhile since I’ve ventured out and had a drink. I decided to try my hand at making my favorite Starbucks drink at home. And the best part was that I already had all of the ingredients on hand. I was able to make two servings of drinks for less than what I would’ve paid for one.
What You'll Need:
2 cups of Ice
1 cup of Milk – any kinds will work. I used lactose free, but I usually opt for soy at Starbucks.
2 Tbsp Sugar
1/8 tsp Vanilla
3 Tbsp Chocolate Syrup
3/4 cup Chocolate Chips or Chunks
Add all ingredients to the blender.
If you’re using a stand blender, add the ice first. If you’re using individual cups, add the ice last. You want the ice to be closest to the blades.
Pulse until smooth.
Separate into two cups [or keep it all for yourself, I don’t judge], top with whipped cream and enjoy!
You’re officially a barista! Ha! Skip the lines next time and enjoy at home.
